Win 10 MMC issue

Hi,

My win 10 laptop has encountered an issue after opening Event Viewer to see what had occurred earlier in the day.

I started to follow a YouTube instruction which said to uninstall Microsoft Visual ++ Redistributable.
Problem is their v of M++ only showed ++ 2008, wheras my pc shows ++ 2010 x64, ++ 2010 x86, ++ 2013 x64, 2015 x86 & 2017 x64

I therefore am not sure which to choose or whether I'm to use all.
When I say use I mean to uninstall.

Please can anyone assist me here?

Thank you

You don't need to remove, they are there to support apps on the pc. Many times they are installed with a certain app. Do a repair on each instead. Click on the modify button to do this.

Microsoft Visual + is normally used for many different apps so uninstalling it willy nilly without knowing what app is causing you issues will likely not solve the issue you are having and may result in other apps not working properly, you said and I quote "My win 10 laptop has encountered an issue after opening Event Viewer to see what had occurred earlier in the day " exactly what is the issue/error code you received?

No error code.

As I said “has encountered an issue after opening EM”.
When I click on Custom Views the message “MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will not unload it”

Microsoft support document says the error “MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will not unload it” is due to the installation problem with .NET Framework. But that document is for Windows 7.
