Win 10 Clean Install M4A88TD-V EVO-USB3

Want to do clean install of Win 10 (already did upgrade) for my M4A88TD-V EVO-USB3 box.

I know there has been issue with Nvidia drivers & updates. I've got a 3rd party GT240 card.

What's best practice for clean install on this board? What should I use WHQ and what should I d/l from vendor?

The M4A88TD-V EVO-USB3 is just a motherboard.

Once you've done the Windows10 install you'll need the Windows10 version of the motherboard drivers

https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/M4A88TDV_EVOUSB3/HelpDesk_Download/ - doesn't yet show W10 drivers. So stick with what you've got till it does.

Nothing is needed or recommended from ASUS. Install W10 and all Windows Updates. Then:

AMD Chipset Drivers for W10

Geforce Drivers 341.81

Realtek HD Audio R2.79

Realtek Gigabit LAN

Honestly, most people are getting the latest drivers from Windows Update. So check the version that is already installed after obtaining the latest Windows Updates. They may be the exact same versions posted from the device manufacturers.

Up and running using MS drivers.

I have a third party GT240 card that I used there fan control software for. It was sort of buggy.

From the Bios, it shows temp/fan speed for certain parts and none for others. I had disabled the 'quiet' functions in bios because it had little effect and I was using the gpu vendor app.

What's a good way to approach controlling fan speed? I can post back case, gpu make, and what the bios shows if that helps.

Problem being some of my fans don't use juice off the board. Not sure if I can change those connections.

1 x Power Fan connector(s) "

- just one connector for case fans. You can plug 2 case fans in using a fan splitter.
Any more than thuis and you need to run them straight from a molex connector on the PSU or via a fan controller.

Go figure, I only have my cpu fan plugged in. Will have a look to see what type of connector is currently on the other fans.

Nothing I can do about fan on GPU.

PS is Seasonic with no fan. Can I plug another fan into the Pwr Fan?

Case has 2 110's in the front and 1 in the back.
