Well, I successfully did 3 of my 4 machines yesterday, and the one I am having trouble with is the one I was sure would be the easiest. It's a business class Lenovo SFF with a 4590 using the onboard Intel graphics. It's not more than 2 years old I don't think. When 10 does its compatibility check, it kicks out the upgrade for an incompatible "display". Huh?? says I... surely it can't object to the Intel graphics. The monitor is an older one, with DVI-D and VGA, and I'm using the VGA, since the Lenovo only has VGA or HDMI, and my wife just doesn't care all that much as long as it lights up and she can shop! So I brought up a similar monitor from my work table that I had just used to update successfully a different machine over the VGA cable, and it kicks that "display" combo out too.
I have read of a registry work-around that will force an upgrade past the compatibilty check, and will prolly give it a try tonite, but wondered had anyone had the issue and/or had a work-around that was successful? Thanks!
