I am watching willy wonka and the chocolate factory..the original. I just wanted to comment on something. This may seem like a nice family but what kind of grandfather lets his family struggle for 25 years while he lays in a bed but when he gets a chance to go eat some chocolate he gets out right away and starts singing. Come on....that mother should be pissed.

2nd. Why isnt anyone being shot? We have 4 ps3s at one store and we get stampedes and people shot. I know this movie takes place a while ago but that kid would have been mugged several times over.

I know its fiction...just commenting.

The movies are based on a children book by Ronald Dahl. I have found that all the children's books I have read since I was older than 15 do not reflex any realty that I know. The Cat in the Hat and the Harry Potter books are examples of this.
