<< This has nothing to do with what they have. It's what they THINK. >>
OK. Now this subject doesn't have anything to do with Political agenda's whether conservative or liberal. It's about Baldwin taking time out to chat with O'Rielly who has accused those who participated in that fund raiser of not doing their public duty by going on his show or Larry Kings show (he really means his though) and raising a stink about them (The Red Cross or United Way) taking so long, in O'Rielly's opinion, to distribute the relief funds.
O'Rielly, while interesting, is just a Red Faced Hack who's not that distanced from his days with the Tabloid TV Show "Hard Copy". He knows which buttons to push to create enough controversy and he really knows his audience. While he's probably the freshest thing on Fox he's still a shuckster and an enterainer and he does all he can to keep things lively. I believe that Clooney, Baldwin and the others were doing the right thing by ignoring him for the most part and I thought it took a lot of balls on Baldwins part to walk into the Lions den and discuss the issue with the Lion himself. I also thought that O'Riellky was on his best behavior even though he kept Baldwin on the defense.
In the end this was all about show biz and had nothing to do with anything of any importance. The victims are getting their money thanks in part to both those celebrities and to some extent O'Reilly. O'Rielly should be credited with leading the way for some long overdue changes in the way Charity Funds are distributed and the Celebs should be applauded for doing their part, which I might add has been a tradition in Hollywood dating back before WW2. In the middle of this fabricated Fox Brouhaha O'Rielly was able to get some ratings too. Not bad.
