Like, I knew going into it I was in for just an all-out stupid movie........ but this could possibly be the most retarded thing I've seen in a LONG LONG time.

I can't believe how horrible it was. The dude falling in love with a rat. :shakes head:
 
Most likely got the green light due to the possible screenwriter strike. Script was on the shelf.

Well, New Line ended up about $14 million in the hole on it.
 
I expected it to be silly and as such enjoyed it mildly. No, it wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. I guess I liked the atmosphere of the movie.
 
Yeah, but even with the expectation of its silliness, the movie just plain rotted. I had more fun watching the drill sargeant from Full Metal Jacket yell at Willard than anything else in the film.

"sniff sniff... okay, you can buy my house.... sniff sniff... but pleeeeeeeeeease let me keep my job. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah"
