Willamette core Celeron 1.7 vcore mod?

I popped the right FSB pin to make it 133FSB, with a little bit of struggle and eye strain, but it won't boot. Neither of my Intel systems have any voltage mods in the bios. Does the same Northwood wire wrap trick work?😕

Yes it should work fine.

of the 4 pins,conneccting 3 would give you 1.80 V

all 4 connected would give you 1.85v

It's much easier to drop in a " U " shaped wire in the socket holes that it is trying to wrap those tiny pins.

try a very small copper wire shape as a U then drop in the apropriate holes, this way you dont have to mess with your cpu pins at all.

I tried several different voltages, with 1.85 being the highest and it would not boot in my Dell 8250 at all.

If it does not in the other P4 computer I have (w/o any FSB or vcore in the BIOS), I will put it in the FS forum for $1 for someone else to try.
