Will Z68 bios be more mature at launch than P67?

Are lessons learned from the P67 going to make the bios of the Z68 mobos less glitchy at launch?

Possibly, but I doubt it. You should plan for a learning curve and assume that there are potential risks with early adoption. Cougar Point should serve as a reminder of that.

I am not aware of any chip set launch that didn't require sudden and sometimes frequent BIOS updates.
They cannot possibly anticipate all the configurations that will arise when the boards start shipping..
Early adopters are the beta testers...

This. :\

Seriously though, it is almost an epidemic. Years ago we (as consumers) accepted the fact that software needs patching. Well, once hardware manufacturers started making their hardware patchable (firmware/BIOS updates) then guess what? 😡

I guess I've been lucky in the past that the time I decided to build a new system didn't coincide with the release of the chipsets I was going to use.
