This blogger claims you are deep in intel's pocket. He holds nothing back.
In response to a question about threat of lawsuit he says:

http://sharikou.blogspot.com/2006/06/busting-anandtechs-woodcrest-vs.html

"Sharikou, Ph. D said...

quote/This sort of unsubstantiated remark has led to people being sued before now so you need to provide evidence I'm afraid or else it just looks like you are shooting the messenger. /quote

Look, Intel folks are visiting this Journal everyday, and I also bet Anand himself has read it. Intel has an army of lawyers. Am I afraid of being sued into bankruptcy?

No! First, I won't need a lawyer, I will fight myself till the US Supreme Court if needed, and I will enjoy doing it. Secondly, Intel or Anand are not stupid. They know what the truth is. Their hope is that fewer people will know the truth, and they will be as quiet as possible.

I have proven that
1) Anand is an Intel pumper
2) Anand has been paid by Intel directly and/or indirectly.

Now, I would further claim that Anand's increasing level of pumping is correlated to Intel's increasing level of paying. For this, I will have to do wide range of discovery in a potential lawsuit. I will have to get the depose various Intel and AnandTech people, I will have to request production of various invoices, payments over some period"

I am betting you are unaware of this..i only found this in a link to the comments about the conroe benchmark.

So now that you know..will you sue for libel??
I find the whole bloggers comments highly offensive...this must pale to what you think.

Uh, wouldn't Anand himself be the one to sue him?

Anyway, that guy isn't supposed to be taken seriously. It's obvious he's just another AMD fanboy with a blog.

He probably just has a bet with his girlfriend that he can't get 2 million hits.

He won't. The problem with review sites is this: there is a major mismatch between their relative low income and the market value of goods they are reviewing. A review can cause massive change in a company's market cap. For Intel, a $0.15 increase in stock price is $1 billion added market cap. You can probably buy a site off with $50K, the pay off is huge"

and yes..Anand is the one i am asking...didn't know the right place to put this.

Credibility is on the line.

I have already suffered one shock about a site i trusted for factual information. And now i see the most trusted place i visit for tech info under assault.

With such outrageous claims... i would have expected the blogger to have been sued already.

Suing is expensive and often serves nothing more than to give press to the one who least deserves it. You must prove not only that the statement is false, that the maker knew it was false when made, but also that there was a malicious intent.

i don't know how much more obvious the malicious intent could be.

But if you lifers don't care, well then --i'll try not to care either.

July 23rd is fast approaching ...and that should vindicate anandtech's preliminary conroe benchmarks :)

I doubt he'll shut up even if conroe ends up as great as everyone says it is.
