Will you be able to notice a difference btw GTS and GTS-V?

I was thinking about getting a Visiontek Geforce2 GTS-V for a friend, but he won't know how to overclock it at all. I am wondering if he will even be able to notice the difference btw 175mhz and a normal GTS 200mhz. He plays games like Couterstrike, etc. Should I just get a normal GTS card for more $?

Eventhough the GTS 32mb is only $10 more, you should definately get the GTS-V from Newegg.com in the westcoast or http://www.essencompu.com/ in the eastcoast. (Newegg has cheaper shipping) for $49. First of all, you probably won't be able to tell the difference with the two cards in most games you would play. Only benchmarks will show the difference.

Overclocking is very simple. You would be able to get the GTS-V running faster than a stock GTS.
There are three ways I know of to overclock.
1. Use coolbits -use google search
2. Use Powerstrip -use google search <-- Powerstrip allows high settings
3. Using visiontek 23.11 drivers from their website then: go to = control panel>display>settings tab>advanced button>GeForce2 GTS tab>additional properties button>clock frequencies =highest settings allowed are 220mem/360ram

Benchmarks will show the difference, but you certainly won't visually see the difference.
personally, for only an extra $10 I'd just go with the full GTS unless your on an extreme budget.
