Will we see an am4 socket at some point

I dont know if theres been posts about this before or not but I couldnt find anything, anyways I just wanted to know if you guys think we will see an am4 socket at some point considering am3+ has been around for awhile.Or can they just keep the socket but upgrade the chipset to support the new tech they dont currently support. I know steamroller will support it but I dont know if we know for sure if excavator will or not. Just wondering what you guys think.

Nobody knows outside of AMD, and AMD isn't talking. They even pushed back AFDS to November.

If we listen to NostraSeronx, there won't be an AM4. The only CPUs AMD will be producing will be for socket GC36, which is an upcoming server socket.

There's this source, but that's it AFAIK. Any Steamroller details outside of being implemented in Kaveri are completely from the rumor mill. There's literally nothing official out there regarding Steamroller-only products.
