Will we see a Logitech G7 v2 with 2 thumb buttons?

I have the G7. I love it and it's a mouse that I upgraded to from the MX1000. The one thing I miss from this upgrade is the lack of a 2nd thumb button. I love my buttons and I usually keep the sensitivity on high all the time, using all the buttons for various macros. I see there's a G5 v2 mouse with the 2 thumb buttons but any news I see of the G7 usually hints at it being discontinued?

I refuse to go back to wired. I don't notice any response issues and even if I did I think I'm willing to sacrifice for the wireless freedom.

Will we see a Logitech G7 v2 with 2 thumb buttons?

Logitech recently released the G9, however I also read with its announcement that there was no immediate plans to release a similar wireless model or update to the G7 with a 2nd button. :( I've held off on the G7 for the same reason most don't like it (no 2nd thumb button) and have been using an MX Revolution which I got as a replacement for my MX700. The Revolution works well enough, despite all the claims its not "suitable for gaming." ;) I'm actually hoping for a gaming mouse with a thumbpad or analog toggle stick in the future, or both.

I have both the MX1000 and G7. The G7 is for gaming and the MX1000 for everything else. I program the Left and Right wheel mouse tilt buttons to compensate for the loss of a thumb button, I actually find it to be better.

I should do that. I don't really use left and right wheel for anything as it is.

I do the same as Capt Caveman on my G5. I use my side button as back, the right tilt as forward, and the left tilt as middle click (because the original G5's middle click absolutely sucks).
