Democrats can simply say "My opponent and/or his party voted against healthcare for children." Simple and to the point. And this is only the beginning. You'll have nice education bills, nice veteran benefit bills for Bush to veto and destroy his party over.
Well that is why Republicans are hoping for a Hillary nomination...she can't play that card because her voting record and stance on certain issues are either all over the map, or generic to the point of being meaningless.

Similarly, Bush is not running for the White House this year...and Guiliani is not a legislator...so the Democrats don't really benefit from trying to polish these turds, especially considering that American public opinion of Congress is not particularly favorable right now.

Hillary doesn't need SCHIP to win next year.
It will help getting a filibusterproof Senate and building the majority in the house though.
GOP as a whole will be held accountable for this. Even those who voted for it :D

I wish we would see a higher turnout. The United States' voting turnout is embarrasing. If people would only realize they can make the sweeping changes in one. swift.vote.

You want to get rid of two party system? It's not the governments fault its that way. It's the people's.

If I don't see a reason to vote, I won't. For example, if it is Hillary v. Guiliani next election, I won't be there. I will however be at the primaries. Also, you shouldn't vote if you don't know what the fuck you're voting for either.

I agree. I can't believe the fact she is a woman is even an issue. Focus on what she believes in and what policies she would enact. I know it won't happen this way. If enough people would actually read up on the candidates and vote for the one that they agree with on the issues the country won't be screwed like it will be when picking between Hillary and Guiliani. Voting because she's female is ridiculous. Look at all the candidates, it might even mean switching parties to vote in the primaries.

You misunderstand the sheeple. Many a woman will vote for Hillary solely because she is a woman. It's just a fact. Sad, but true.

I think her obvious pandering and focus on the women's vote will hurt her, however. She's going to need a whole lot of other groups to vote for her as well.

I couldn't have picked a better object lesson than this post to make my point. I don't know what kind of women they have up there in the frosty north, but I imagine the percentage of women who are overly impressed with traditional gender roles is not as high as you might think. Attacking her sexuality because she doesn't act like a 1950's housewife is EXACTLY the kind of stupid bullshit that is going to drive pro-Hillary women to the voting booths.

Heh, let's be honest with ourselves here. Our country is still struggling with the idea of women in positions of power in the workplace, you don't think a woman running for President is getting more than a few people all riled up?

We may see more women voters, but that doesn?t mean that Hillary will get all their votes.

Hillary is really trying to play up the ?first woman President? thing now, but I don?t think she will bring in the female vote like an Elizabeth Dole type would. Hillary is not a great roll model for women and she is not a very likable person. I think those two facts will help to balance out the female vote.

I think in liberal states Hillary will rack up the female-feminist vote, but in conservative states the women will vote the other way.

A thread full of men talking about how Hillary won't get female votes because she's not a good housewife....

Are there any women who can give their thoughts on Hillary? Any women at all on a computer nerd forum?

You doubt my assertion?

Hillary?s message to women is find a smooth talking man to latch on to and then use his success to spring board your career.

Her post White House book will be titled:
?How to Marry Your Way to the White House?

Chapter 1: How to use your husband?s infidelity to your advantage.
Chapter 2: When under attack wear pink.
Chapter 3: Publicly proclaim that you are not going to ?stand by your man? but do just that.
Chapter 4: Give up your career if it helps your husband with his.

After that she is going to write:
?Socialism is okay as long as its for the children?

Filibuster proof Senate is going to be a stretch, I know. But so was winning the Senate last year :D Presidency and House gains seem much more likely than not right now.
Republicans are sure working hard to help Democrats sweep again in 2008. :D

Her and Bill are a team. He wouldn't have been president without her help and ambition either. They complement each other. Don't see anything wrong with that at all. Plus, she got elected Senator twice, and I think will be elected president too. What is scaring Republicans is that she is not just ambitious, she is successful.

Why wait? It hasn't stopped the neo-cons and Republicans from doing it already.
And she hasn't even been elected yet.
Guess its never to early to start the hate and blame.

The authoritarian paternalistic right is beset by the rise of traumatic memory because Mommy is about to become the most powerful person in the world.

You had all better run and hide under the bed because the scissors is coming to snip off what's left of your dicks and turn you all into girls.

one would think that someone taking their marriage vows seriously is something that conservatives would respect.

but graduated with honors from an ivy league? the first student at her college to deliver the commencement address and a graduate of Yale law school?

if that's not something you'd want your daughter or niece to aspire to, there's something deeply wrong with you.

like most husbands and wives, Bill and Hillary are a team... but it's not as if he found her working as a waitress at some truck stop and made her what she is.
