Will we never have a completely legit Government?

It's sad to say that I don't think we will ever see a few years go by without someone in a respectable position in the government have some sort of scandal happen to him or her. Numerous President's have fallen suspect to various scandals, and recently many-a governor have been blamed with different scandals and cover-ups. Among those caught up in recent scandals were McGreevey's first chief of staff and former counsel; a top Democratic fund-raiser and former high school classmate; and real estate developer Charles Kushner, McGreevey's biggest campaign contributor, who was charged with trying to thwart a federal campaign-finance investigation by luring a grand jury witness ? his own brother-in-law into a compromising position with a prostitute and sending video and photos to the man's wife. McGreevey is the second governor to announce his resignation in recent weeks, following the resignation in June of Connecticut GOP Gov. John Rowland amid corruption investigations and threats of impeachment.

Many believe that McGreevey's admittance to bisexuality is just a smoke cloud for him to cover-up something more horrible and who's to believe it isn't with all these lies and allegations circling the government these days. It's sickening.

Sorry. Just my 2 cents. And, I know some of you will disagree but that's how things are looking to me as of right now.

It's not just a problem with the US govt. There's lies and corruption everywhere. Just take a look around you. How many people do you know that are truly honest?

This is true but the people we elect to office are supposed to be respected, how can they be respected when there's so much scandal surrounding them?

Sorry about the forum misplacement. Mods feel free to move the topic.

the man asked a serious question and the average response seems to be head to P&N...this type of question should lead to proper and civilized discussion not the vitirol of P&N

Ah, I see. I don't like all the flaming in the video forum between nvidia and ati fanboys. I guess I'll start posting all my videocard related threads here instead. Thanks for the great idea!

It seems the only way to get to the top in politics is to swindle your way (well, not the ONLY way, but it sure does help) up.

I don't want to get off-topic (no pun intended) but why the hell are most AT'ers so hostile? Relax bro.
