Will we get to the point that during a shooting, people will rush the attacker?

It used to be that for hostage situations on planes, we were told to just let things play out. But after 9/11 passengers won't allow someone to gain control of the plane. Will that soon happen for mass shootings too? Currently we're told to run and hide from an active shooter but when does it become better to bum rush the guy?

When you're thinking about it hypothetically.

Yeah...hypothetically....everyone is a badass in front of their computer in their mom's basement.
IN REALITY you'd probably get a shock from seeing blood, actually dead people, carnage etc. around you....I think your brain might literally "switch off" and your body will go in full flight/panic/survival mode "GET THE HELL AWAY FROM HERE".

Now multiply this with dozens, if not 100s of panicking people, along with an otherwise normal every-day-situation which from one second to the other turns into a massacre, like when the guy started shooting.

I think only especially trained people w/ combat experience etc. could maybe make a rational decision in such a situation, to come up with some plan (or instinctively) that would have somewhat of a chance to overpower an attacker. "Normal" people in such situations? I don't think so...

Bro. I would tackle anyone who tries to hurt my fellow Americans.

I don't care if the punk has an AR15 on one arm, an Uzi on the other arm, a laser helmet and a chest full of explosives. He's going down!

🙂

Some already do, but it depends on the people As long as they think they will die, they will fight back.

I think all it takes is a couple of people to mention the idea for everyone to realize they could overrun the attacker easily. People aren't usually collectively fools when it comes to survival, so long as they are rallied as a group.

That was a student security guard, not just a regular student FYI

If your gona die die with your boots on. It happend on a train in France and a plane headed to DC.

In moments of sheer and complete panic most regular people can only think to escape as quickly as they can.

If people have crisis training or enough time to get their bearings, then maybe they can assess the situation.

The Shanksville story was a one time thing. An outlier at best. At worst, well, there is very little actual evidence that this is what actually happened.

This is a hyperfeminized culture, where people act like sheeple. They are too scared to ever do the right thing on instinct because their whole lives are spent doing things that defy basic instincts. (Voting for globalists, eating bad food, listening to corporate controlled media, taking drugs that were advertised to them on the tv, etc) I mention instinct because this sort of act needs to be done on instinct, and done very fast, almost thoughtlessly. The Orlando shooter had to stop and reload half a dozen times. Those <insert PC term for non-heterosexual here> did nothing during these opportunities. Even the cops did nothing for hours while the potentially dozens who bled out could have been saved if they had acted immediately.

It takes major balls to charge a firing weapon. I doubt 1 in 1000 could do it.

I can think of about 250,000 who did it one fine summer day.

They were rushing places like Omaha beach and armed for a landing that had been prepped for many months, not hanging out unarmed on a dance floor.

Why bother posting something like that, unless you want to look a bit clueless ?

To go at the attacker as a group would be optimal if possible i guess. Shooter might not get all of them before being overtaken.
But as mention, this is if you could get over the initial shock of the situation to begin with. And had the time to even think what to do. And get other to help you.
Pretty tough i'd imagine.

We're also being told over & over to call and wait for "1st responders" for everything. Don't do anything on your own to help in a situation, let the "1st responders" handle it.
Sometime the average Joe is the 1st responder! Actually almost all the time they are unless an emergency happens at a police /fire station or hospital!
