As I'm sure many of you have done before, I've often wondered if someday it'll be possible to somehow capture and retain weather and temperature. Now hold on, hear me out. 500 years ago if anyone suggested the idea of an airplane they'd think the same thing you are.
I don't have any idea how it could be done, but to have large quantities of +40C heat in the wintertime to disperse without a furnace or -40C cold in the summertime to expell into your house without using an air conditioner.
Concentrated containers of "weather", could be bought and sold like any other commodity, shipped over seas. Antarctica would have a commodity worth something, as would poor hot continents like Africa. Homes around the entire Earth would be 20C all the time!
I guess Star Trek never talks about such a brilliant invention, so it'll probably never happen.
