I will get the iPad if it has TouchID and 2 GB RAM. If there is no 4" iPhone 6, then I will be doubly happy I got the 5S.

I could live with the 4.7" I suppose but it definitely wouldn't be ideal. The 5.5" is a complete non-starter.

My wife has no desire to change to a physically larger iPhone either but I'm debating upgrading it since her iPhone 5 only has 16 GB and she's run out of space. Maybe the best solution is to move most of those baby pix and videos to her iPad instead to free up space.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the 5c live on with a black back option in addition to existing colors with 5s guts and maybe finger print ID as the cheapie $99 contract option.

4" plastic iPhone6c - $99
4.7" metal iPhone6 - $199
5.5" metal iPhone6xl - $299

Maybe, but the best feature to keep is TouchID.

That could work. Transitioning to an all 64-bit lineup could mean a somewhat faster and easier iOS development, no? Mind you it would only mean one year difference.

So maybe there will be a plastic 5t with A7. I'm increasingly pessimistic about TouchID though.

My fiancée plans to get the 6 (from the 4S). I'd be tempted to switch when my contract is up (HTC One M7) but I don't know if I could leave all my purchased stuff behind.. though I did it once before. It does fix my one major gripe, screen size.

Have you had a bit of trouble with the 1GB of RAM? I'm not too sure if we do much different stuff, but I haven't had too many problems with it. Although, most of what I do is web browsing and Hearthstone. :p

Speaking of storage space, there has been some talk about the 5.5" possibly having 128GB of storage space. I've also seen rumors of all phones starting at 32GB. So, I'm really not too sure what to think. Originally, I had a lot of issues with the 64GB model and storage, but removing a lot of unnecessary apps helped that problem. Albeit, I've got 22GB of music on my phone and only 11GB free!

I can certainly understand that. That's one of the factors whenever I take a peek at an Android phone. I've got 778 iOS apps (including iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad)... do I really want to give that up? Although, I don't use most of them; so, it probably doesn't matter much. :p One other consideration is whether there's a comparable app for what you use most.

I've noticed on my iPhone that if have a bunch of apps running and a bunch Safari pages loaded, the pages often need to reload when I switch to them. It's not the end of the world but it's annoying.

It's esp. annoying if I have say an AnandTech post half written and then I leave the post to check something. Cuz when I come back to it it may reload thereby deleting my half-written post.

So, I'm thinking having 2 GB RAM will help.

As for storage, after backing them up I just deleted 10 GB of baby pix and baby videos from my wife's iPhone. I loaded them all into iPhoto and then picked some representative stuff she could look at and loaded them back. Total was only just over 0.5 GB.

I just checked and in total it seems we have about 75 GB of baby pix/video and the kid isn't even 2 yet.:p
