SO lately (over the past several weeks) my second Vraptor has been giving me all sotrts of errors and issues, and it rattles when i shake it. I have a warranty until 2014 but i want my drive to work, if i request an RMA from WD will they honnor it or will i have to wait until this flooding buisness is taken care of?

Id say they will honor your RMA but the turn around time might be longer than usual. Id email them and ask.

Good idea. I was going to do an advanced RMA but if the time difference is the same ill do a normal one.

😱
Why are you shaking a HD--that can really damage it more, and possibly void warranty depending on how hard you shake it.
You will get back a refurb--if you didn't void that warranty.

If the unit is off and you are not in excess of 350g, I think he is ok.

There's really only one way to find out. Contact WD and exercise the warranty.
