Will walmart let me exchange an item without a receipt?

i bought an ipod touch case from there and there are weird spots on it, and i ALWAYS keep my receipts, but for some damn reason i cant find it. i think they didnt give me one. anyway, do you think they'd let me exchange it?

just curious, its kind of a long drive and id rather know before hand. thanks!

I recently returned an Ottoman rocking chair purchased at Wal-Mart. I should have known it was shit quality, but I bought it anyway.

Anyway, I returned it no problem at all ~2 months later with no receipt with half the parts not even in the box.

The people working the returns desk just don't care. They'll take anything back.

I went there checking to see if they had any cheap players and couldn't find a single one.

However this store was brand new.

Wouldn't be that hard....go to one of those super center walmarts where they sell grocery items. Buy a bag of chips. Eat half of it. Go back and say it tastes funny. Money back.

That was the old policy, at least around here.

I lost my reciept and tried to return something thinking i get the gift card. Nope, I was told i had to go to the same departmnet and get soemthing that was at least the same or more value of that item. Their return policy on the wall was also updated.
Not sure how long it has been this way as i rarly shop at WM

I bet you did not have the box/packaging with a upc. They still have the so many items policy with the central database. I thought it was a year but I could be wrong.

Nope new never opened/used. Went another wal-mart and they also had the new return policy.

I made a no-receipt return last week. I was warned I had only 1 return left until June.

Do this, I do it all the time when I don't have a receipt and all I need is an exchange
