Will Voodoo 2 work in a Mac?

I have an old Powermac 7600 with a G3 upgrade I am going to put OSX on it, I need to upgrade the video and without buying one of the expensive "Mac edition" ATI cards I wonder if I could get a PCI Voodoo 2 card to work in it, anyone know?

Voodoo2? That's like... a 4 or 5 year old Card isn't it? Plus it requires a regular video card to work. YUK! Is that the best thing you can kind for cheap?

It is an older card and they are IMO still good cards considering I am not looking at using this as a game machine, also they are very cheap and most other 3D cards require an AGP slot which I don't have. I am open to other suggestions though.

Sorry, I am not answering your question. But I still have my Voodoo 2 card on my second machine. It's a Matrox G200 /voodoo 2 combination. It's got the Windows 98 SE OS and I just love it for playing the older pre 2K games. Unreal, Sin, Dungeon Keeper 2are still great on this card. But damn, I don't know nothin' about Macs sorry. I'm just a big voodoo 2 fan...call me crazy.

Voodoo2s work perfectly in macs. My 5 year old Monster3D II worked just fine in my dad's G4, you just need to go grab the drivers for it, drop the extensions into the system folder, power down, install the voodoo2 in a PCI slot, and turn the machine back on. I don't know where you would find drivers at this point though.
