Will video cards really be 300watts?

Was that just a rumor that the next generation of video cards will be 300 watts? I really hope this isn't true because well need extreme cooling and huge psus. What are the chances of this being true? Thanks.

I read somewhere (probably on AT) that the next generation of video cards is going to increase in wattage yet again, but after that there shouldn't really be any increase.

Also in the same report there were pics of a separate PSU for just the video cards which sat in the 5 1/4 drive bay.

Maybe for highend parts, and even then probably just the crossfire/SLI/QuadSLI setups. The upcoming generation will be more power-hungry than current parts, but the generation after should remedy that. The graphics manufacturers have fallen behind the hardware demands of games and the next generation should catch them back up hopefully.
