Will VBR MP3's Play On Zen Or Ipod

I just bought a 20 GB Creative Zen.

Will the Zen play Variable Bit Rate ripped MP3's (using CDex and LAME encoder)?................

How about Ipod?.......

Only the crappiest of crappy modern MP3 players would DARE not support VBR these days. I have an old Philips Rush that doesn't, but then again it doesn't support 2K/XP either (I need direct parallel port I/O access and an old customized version of Real Player G2, both of which are not supported in XP. Bleh.)
