I am going to use Thermalright's Ultima 90 for cooling my Q6600. I plan to put it in a Cooler Master Stacker 830 Case. I was going to put a Scythe 120mm SF21F fan on the Ultima 90. Now am wondering if it will fit in the case OK. Does anybody have any experiences with this setup? Or do I need to use a 92mm fan instead?

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, with room to spare.

An easy rule of thumb is that if there's a 120mm fan on the rear of the case and nothing hanging in from the side pannel, a 120mm fan will fit inside the case. It's not fool-proof but, a decent rule of thumb.

On a side note, the saying "rule of thumb" came from the 19th century when it was legal to beat your wife and children, so long as you used a thatch no wider than your thumb.
