Will two dualhead matrox video cards work?

I've got a system here that currently has a G400DH running two monitors. Is it possible to put a PCI G450GH in there and expect it to work with four displays in Win98?

I don't see why not. Perhaps an email to Matrox Support would clarify this?

windows has only support for 4 monitors, I dont see it being possible with windows.

i thought it was 7 monitors..... but... i haven't seen a PCI G450.?

Well, MS says 98 will support up to Nine monitors. The G450 only comes as an AGP card, so I guess I was on a crack binge when I thought I read that.
The video guys on Matrox's forums say that the only way to go beyong 2 monitors is to install G200MMS PCI cards that can handle 2 or 4 displays each.

Now if I can find one of these cards in the Canadian disribution channel I'll be set.

not true, also comes as PCI but it seems that it's only for OEM at present!

the g200 4 monitor version is $600 though. ALso win2k can officially support 10 screens
