does anyone try to install two 256mb? will it work?
i had install 2 256mb pc133, but they don't seem to be happy with each other, they frezze up my computet when getting into windows
they 're from the same brand and working individually
Are they from the same manufacturer? This may be one of those situations where mixing different RAM actually doesn't work. What is your CAS latency set to in the BIOS? Remember that you can only run as fast as your slowest stick, so if you are in fact mixing RAM then make sure both sticks are capable of running at your specified speeds.
I ran into a similar problem. Two ram sticks same brand worked individually but not together. Turned out they were not identical - one was registered and one was not. Same thing could happen if one is buffered and one is not, you get strange errors.
DFI isn't so hot anyways...bought one for sister a few years ago (w/ amd k6-2 400).
It's OK, it's running with 128 fine now... (32, 32, 64) all different brands.
