Will turning empty case on mess it up?

i just got an sx840 case and wanted to see how loud the fans are. Will turning it on with nothing connected mess it up at all.
I havent got the rest of my stuff in yet. Its completely empty at this point. I'd hate to have some setting pop up on me and not see it.

If by turning on you mean powering up the PS w/o anything else but fans hooked up, then it shouldn't harm anything. Just jumper the green wire (remote) of the PS's atx connector to a black wire (ground) & the PS should turn on.

Yup, short the green wire with one of the black wires. You can use a paperclip. Just make sure that paper clip doesnt touch any other metals!
