Luckily, my brother-in-law is in Japan this week, and I made arrangements so he can go to Akihabara and pick up one of those new A7V133 motherboards. It costs about 21,000 yen (about $182) after tax. My big question is will it be worth it to buy it from Japan now? If this thing is going to be available in U.S. soon (and at a lower price point), I might be wasting my time and money.
In other words, does anyone have any idea what the ETA is for the A7V133 in U.S.? I definitely want to stick with ASUS, as I'm very satisfied with the current A7V. I'm not interested in other brands, except MAYBE MSI. The article mentions that the layout and specification is identical, except for the difference in the KT133A chip (with active fan) and the ATA-100 capable southbridge. So I have high hopes for this board as well if the quality and performance is at the same level of current A7V.
I appreciate your feedback.
