Twitter has said the option of suspending Trump's personal account will be available the moment he's out of office, and that the official POTUS account will transfer to the Biden administration at that time. (Yes, Twitter's attitude toward bans is dictated by company policy rather than law, but at least it drew a clear line in the sand.)

Not so hot for what's likely to be a flurry of vitriol and misinformation in the run-up to the inauguration, but the good news is that Trump will likely be on a fast track toward a ban as an ex-President since he spreads misinformation and hate speech on a daily basis.
Thx for admitting that Der Fuhrer was a racist!! -- since he spreads misinformation and hate speech on a daily basis.

He can’t, the Russians changed all the passwords.
I know this post is in jest but it's actually an interesting story that Lesley Stahl from 60 Minutes covered back in 2014. Russians can't hack our nuclear arsenal because the hardware that runs them is to antiquated. What if I told you the programs used to launch nuclear weapons were loaded into memory via 8" floppy disks.
IDK if that makes anyone feel safer but at least our nuclear arsenal is safe from the almighty Russian threat.....oh god is it 1954 again??? Anyway if anyone is interested here's some links.

In 2018 or 2019 you would have said the same thing if someone had posted that Trump would strive to have a deadly pandemic burn through the population causing 100's of thousands of America dead.

Never underestimate fucking crazy fueled by narcissism.

Yup, I figure the idea that a president has complete control of our nuclear arsenal that is so prevalent is malarkey. I don't know what the system is. It may actually be top secret. Anyone know?

Yep.

So you good with the fact that there was a discussion in the oval office FUCKING TODAY about the possibility of declaring martial law to overthrow the election? Post your stupid fucking gifs, it only demonstrates how fucking clueless you are.

To be honest, martial law (or trying to have Biden and Harris arrested) is slightly-less far-fetched than launching nuclear weapons. I have no idea what Trump may actually do (maybe just steal or break some Whitehouse furniture and fittings? I really hope like any other letting agent they took a complete contents inventory when he moved in) but I'm sure the thought obsessing him at this moment is 'how can I stay President?'. He's a narcissist, obsessed with winning, this must be a huge psychological crisis for him.

Also, not sure "blaze of glory" is the right term to describe that hypothetical conflagration. "Apocalypse of self-pity" or "Narcissistic Inferno", maybe?

^^^IDK is it really less far fetched or is it about the same? OMG!! I just had a thought what if Trump declares martial law AND launches nuclear weapons THEN delays the vaccine from reaching the people who need it most. Holy shit....I wouldn't put past this guy. It would be the trifecta of evil necessary to stage his coup within the deep state and take total control over the Unites States.

I LOVE it!! I love how this sub can automatically pass judgment on someone in just an instant. Then make up their mind on that persons political stance just as quickly. What's next am I gonna get called a partisan hack or a political shill for the right??

Haven't got one? Just the passive-aggressive pro-Trump snark? OK, don't complain if people take you for a Trump-supporter then.

Sure I can do that but I thought I already did in post #27. Here's three examples just from the first page. I can certainly provide more if you want me to but I suspect that it would probably go against the group think you guys got going on in here.
My point is some of you guys are nuts.

People are idiots for taking Trump personally.

The lawsuits are nothing more than disguised charity payments into the legal system and lawyers.

Trump hasn't gotten us in an armed conflict yet and nuking a country would destroy his life of privilege and comfort.

Also, filing lawsuits is barely a coup. The way that has been parroted out, you'd think he'd already murdered all 50 governors in this country and occupied the capital of each state along with holding Pelosi at gunpoint to pass legislation in his favor. Because a proper coup in this country requires not only federal government takeover, but crushing the independence and sovereignty of the the states.

That's not much of a 'point'. Some posters on a random forum are over-excitable or less-than-rational. We already know that, thanks.

Also - three examples of what, exactly? The OP in this thread is getting over-excited/anxious, I'd agree with that, but those who disengenously pretend they don't know what a 'coup' is (i..e you and Torn Mind here) are clearly Trump apologists, pushing complacency because you support him at some level.

And Trump's mismanagement of the pandemic has very clearly caused excess deaths. Probably never be possible to quantify it exactly, but people have died because of his idiocy.

You are an idiot for thinking the question of who is President of a superpower (in the middle of a global health crisis) can't affect anyone personally. Or rather, you think others are idiot enough to not see what you are trying to do.

I didn't say "his actions don't affect anyone personally". I said people take HIM personally. If you are so desperate that you would take license misconstruing another's subject-object-verb in a sentence, it is very evident you are lacking in character. Especially as a basis for an insult.

When joe schmoe republican kisses his ass and treats him as savior...that's is taking him personally as well. Comprehend the phrase take him personally before continuing the discussion, because it is not synonymous with "President's actions can affect others personally"

If your counterpoint is based on such a lack of understanding sentence fundamentals, I can't wait to see your quasi-religious emotions come up with next.

The return of The Quibbler.

Do you consider yourself a 'libertarian' by any chance? That sort of nit-picking logic-chopping seems to be characteristic of the type.

I also note your snowflake complaint about 'insult' coming directly after calling others 'idiots'. So a hypocrite as well as a quibbler.

Something tells me you are an upper-middle-class white guy.
Absolutely wrong. Chinese male of 31 years. I'm also happily a non-subscriber to the quasi-religion that is called political platforms.

Also, I know that my local batch of upper class rich folks vote heavily Democrat. Check out Bethesda, Maryland. Maybe one in four are Republicans.

If anything, even your guess is badly informed. Republicans are hillbilly poor or lower middle-class whites unless they happen to own a ton of land in some rural area planting corn. It's no surprise to me that Republican strongholds also have crappy $/sqft when it comes to real estate. What can buy mansion in Georgia or Oklahoma can only buy a modest house in Maryland

So? The Democrats have a very strong conservative strand. The US doesn't really have a party of the left.
