Will Trump dump Vance?

There is more and more chatter on the repugnant side that Trump is realizing he screwed up when he picked mini-me Vance. Trump unbroken record of making bad decisions remain intact.

Scaramucci seem to think Trump will dump him. Kinzinger has even come up with an excuse for him to do it, specifically the Dems did it. (yea, lame and not after their convention, but hey this is Trump) I suspect the window to do this is closing, as there would become a point when states start to finalize their ballots.

He could but it makes him look old and showcases his bad judgment making.

And lets be honest.. he was never gonna pick anyone other than a white guy.. so who's next? Burgum which guarantees him North Dakota's 3 electoral votes??

His choices aren't exactly better unless he goes Ted Cruz. Then he'd make a real play for the whacko Texas Vote.

Old and bad choices are his thing.

Cruz could lose him Texas.

JD Vance hates Donald Trump and is there as his VP for the potential power and money that it gives him. He sold his soul for this. I don’t think he’ll go voluntarily or quietly.

He doesn't care about the party--only winning and staying in power. Vance definitely hurts his chances of winning and while Trump is obviously too stupid to see that, he absolutely needs Vance to remain in power, and keep his inbred spawn in power after his death.

He won't be able to drop Vance.

I doubt it, I don't get the feeling GOP supporters think there's anything wrong with Vance, quite the contrary.

Then again, I don't talk politics with the few I am required to engage with (coworkers, a bandmate, some family who are fine with a no-politics relationship). My buddy's brother and people like that I hear about 2nd-hand, he was gushing apparently about that Hillbilly Elegy thing. Seemed pretty taken in by the enterprising little twerp. Meanwhile, I don't give two shits where he came from or his background, his views and policies are shit.

If Thiel thought Trump might lose due to Vance then sure I could see him making it happen. He'll wave a pile of money at both Vance and Trump (like he probably already has).

Haley would be the one I'd worry about. Probably the only one. She'd be competition for the suburban woman vote and has shown her abject spinelessness already by engaging lips-to-ass after all the things she said in the primary (a requirement for running with Trump).

There's nothing to prevent Trump from upgrading his VP pick...as long as he does it before the states print their ballots.

He can't just kick him off though. Vance has to resign or say it is because of illness, etc... Trump can't just change his mind. They'd have to push Vance out. Which they can certainly do. But it's not so purty.

Nothing that I can find says the pick is "locked in." Trump is free to change VP picks if he chooses.

Pretty much what you said. He like Vance because Vance sucks his balls good, Pence on sucked Trumps balls good enough.
Next appointed person would have the same firebrand & shitty person no matter what.

I found the same thing. Just needs to do it before states lock in their ballot.
As I said in another thread how could you force someone to stay in a race for office? How could you force them to take the oath of office? How could you force them to continue to work?

That's assuming Vance wants to drop out, which would solve their problem. I think the debate happening is how can he be dropped from the ticket not because he wants to, but because the Trump team wants to.

Sadly I must agree with this. The couch stuff is just pure silliness. The cat lady type talking points will be viewed by Trump's base as just something to trigger libs.
