I have a set of Altec ACS56's and they sound good untill I turn them up a little over half way then the satellites start sounding high pitched and my ears feel like their gonna pop. I figured it was because they was little and couldnt handle it.
What I was wondering is if I could take maybe some a little larger like book shelf speakers and hook them up to the sub somehow? Would this let me turn them up over half way and maybe making them sound better and be more louder? Any suggestiong on how to do it without having to take the wires out of my satellites? I have a soldering iron and know how to use it.
Any suggestions besides buying new speakers?
