im trying to get cable from my brother and i have these parts

1.linksys 5 port 10/100 auto-senceing hub
2.two linksys lan cards but i think that 1 or more is dead verson 2
3.twenty five foot rj45 350mhz speed

the problem is that my computer nows that the lan card is in there but when we try to install the drivers it has an error.

is the card bad or the driver or what

we tryed the drivers it came with and 2 form the linksys website

should i just get like a cheap linkeys for 14 from newegg.com or what?

well, unfortunately it could be a number of things... the drivers you are using could be for the wrong card or the wrong OS or the card could be bad.

What kind of errors do you get. If you have doubts about the card, go pick up a cheap 10/100 NIC card somewhere.
 
the erros are that they found a new driver then when installing it it says just an error i dont know right now casue im not trying it
 
Marine63B just to let you know, the cable is called cat5 (probably unless you have something else, cat5 is most common ) and the connector is called rj45.
