I am getting braodband, woohoo. Verizon sent me me a Westell Model 6100 modem/router. Text. Is this going to be a simple a Pluging the router (it has one ethernet port) into the switch I have and away we go or is it going to be more complicated then that).

If the built-in router handles DHCP, yea, sounds like it should work.

Do not buy a switch, add few $$$ and buy an inexpensive on sale Wireless Router ( (there few for less than $19), use it as a Wireless AP (if you want to), and a Switch.

I have the switch already, so it would be nice to use what i have. Computer geeks had a bunch of routers for about $15 so if i need to thats what I will do.
