Will this work to share a connection?

I have an iMac and a PC and want to share a connection. Currently the PC is connected to Verizon DSL. CAT-5 connections are out for the iMac, so I want to use Netgear PE102 phoneline (HomePNA 2.0) - Ether bridge on the iMac. Then another bridge into a router. The PC I will plug directly directly into the router as an ethernet physical connection. Will this work with the iMac? My understanding is that these Phoneline to Ethernet bridges require no configuration, so presumably need no iMac drivers. I am expecting the iMac to 'see' the router as if it were connected directly.

Thanks in advance.
