Will this work for the time being?

Im currently running a q6600 with 4gb of ram all at stock speeds, 2 hdds, 5 system fans, and a dvd rw. I currently have a 8800 gt in the system, but I just purchased one of the 5870 2gb newegg deals, and it should arrive to tomorow.

Would this card be ok to run in this system on an antec earth watts 430 for the time being, or should I upgrade the power supply before even putting the new video card in?

I keep seeing these insane power supply requirements on the various websites, and since my current system doesn't meet the recommended power supply for its components, Im not terribly concerned, but I would rather not pop the psu if its not up to the task.

At full blast your system is probably going to hit about 35A on the +12V rail. Your PSU does 30A. I would say you're pretty much borderline... don't do it.
