Will this tv stand handle this tube tv's weight?

Tv weight is about 140lbs

Now the Bello stand says it accommodates up to a 36" direct view tv for weight, but I've run across many entertainment centers that say "will fit a 36" wide tv" and it would'nt even fit the 32" I was buying then.

So, does this tv stand have the strength to support this tv?

Back when I had my old 36" WEGA XBR, I had to be very careful about what stand I purchased, since the damned thing weighed 350lbs.

That's the "SHELF" weight capacity that they're listing, not the tv shelf. They don't list the top shelf capacity.

And also, they say it will accommodate "MOST" 36" direct view tv's. That's an added 40+lbs for a 36" from a 32".

Perhaps someone here has a Bello stand and can help me? You just answered wrong before reading, no worries.

Who has 110lbs of stereo/DVD/VCR/gaming equipment to put on EACH shelf? It's obviously talking about the weight of the TV. What a genius!

EDIT: I think that site is wrong. Best Buy lists it as 286lbs:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp...product&id=1051806239501&ref=06&loc=01

Makes no mention of this "shelf" weight.

The support from the top shelf as you can see, is much greater than the bottom glass shelves.
The top shelf has back and side support.

Just about to email them. I figured I'd get a semi thought out response when I posted the thread. I suppose most here are'nt tv stand literate. Where's RossMAN? He'll at least tell you how it is without implying you're an idiot **LOL**

Question=Answer.................. Those who don't know, don't POST!
