Will this stand hold an aquarium?

I am planning on getting a 30 gallon aquarium (~350lbs when filled).

I have two particle-board based night stands that I am planning on putting end to end to rest the aquarium on. The aquarium is 36 inches long, and each of the stands is 24 inches long, so next to one another they would be 48 inches total.

Heres the kicker: The stands are spec'd to hold 40lbs on top shelf, 20lbs on middle shelf, and 30lbs on the bottom shelf BUT they are meant to use casters, which I have removed so that the stands bottom rests flat on the ground.

Do you think I can put 350lbs over these two units with the casters removed so the weight is flat on the ground?

I sat my weight on them, and kind of bounced up and down a little and they seem to be pretty sturdy. Its a whole other issue though if they come crashing down with 30 gallons of water on top.

Do you think the weight limits given are more a limit of the casters, or do you think they are a limit of the whole structure?

Don't chance it ... a smashed 30 gallon aquarium is a mess of epic proportions & 100% not worth saving the $40-$60 or so a quality stand will set you back.

Bad sign, I personally wouldn't risk it.
