See the 6 holes that are protruding out where you mount the motherboard? Do I need to use standoffs for those or can I just screw the motherboard directly into those using regular screws?

the case didn't come with any standoffs or brass screws or whatever those things are called.

You've got a bad link there.

However, I think that I know what you're talking about. It sounds like your case has "integrated standoffs," which is pretty common on cheaper cases. Yes, you can just screw the motherboard directly to these.

Make sure that each standoff lines up with a mounting point on the motherboard (i.e. that there isn't a standoff under a part of the motherboard with no screw hole). The standoffs should be placed according to the ATX spec, but it doesn't hurt to confirm it yourself.
