Athlon Thunderbird 2200 on Asus A7N8X Deluxe, 1 Gig RAM Crucial, and Ti4200. HD is a 7200 rpm WD.

Will that run the game at say 1024 with all details their highest setting?

Thanks to anyone who can help,

GS

1024x768 with Medium/Custom settings. I'm running 1024 with Highest settings with 4x AA and 8x AF on a 9800 Pro and it lags sometimes.. but looks so good :D

That computer with everything in Far Cry set to medium or low and no aa/af will run the game pretty well. Definitely not going to be getting the nice shadows though, that will kill your performance in this game with that video card.

I tried running the demo on my system:

AMD 1700+, 768 Mb 2100 ram, 60 Gb Hd, Radeon 8500dv 64 Mb

I found out it was time to buy a new system soon!!! New games and my system was slow at 800 x 600 with everything off. At 1600 x 1200 I could hardly play (artifacts galore). Ughh!

The max specs on the box is:
3+Ghz, R9800pro/5950, 1Gb Ram

Medium:
2+Ghz, GF4/R9500, 512Mb Ram

I run it smoothely on 2100+, R9800pro, 1Gb Ram, all details on max, medium AA, 4xAF

9800pro. Otherwise it would be waste of money, if it's Farcry you want to run.
