Will this raid 0? If it does, will i notice?

I got 2 raptors, 74gb. I am planning to raid 0 them. I have two questions before I do this.

1. These are different models. One is 00FLA1 and the other is 00FLC0. Does that matter?
2. Will I notice a difference when I raid 0 them compared to normal raptor speed?

These will obviously be used for the OS. I have total faith in WD raptors, that's why I did not think about raid 1.

You are more of a Raptor Fanboy than WD engineers.
Even they know older drives (or newer for that matter), are subject to failure.

You can RAID them together... But I doubt you will notice a difference. Maybe do RAID 1 because that way you have redundancy and good read speeds (read data off both disks simultaneously).

the drives WILL fail... the only question is if their time will come WHILE you are using them, or after they get thrown in the trash because of being obsolete...

If you use raid0, do not put ANY important data on it cause it will all be gone.

I have been using one of the raptors for 4 years. So I suppose it's time is about to come like most things die a little after their warranty. I guess raid 1 is the way to go.
