Will this product allow me to connect to the 'console' port of a hub?

It will if you know the exact pinout for the hub. It will need to be wired accordingly. I make them for the Cisco 675, although I don't use that particular solution.

What kind of hub is it? Is the port a DTE or DCE? There are really only two ways to connect to a serial port. Use a straight thru modem cable or a null modem cable (TX and RX swapped).

Post link to product specs of the hub and maybe I can help. or list model number.

Is the port on the hub db9 or db25. Male or female? or does it look like a phone jack with 8 pins...RJ45?
