I just cannot believe how cheap PSU`s have become.....

I have Thermaltake Level 10 VL30001N1Z Black Aluminum ATX Super Full Tower Gaming Station Computer Case
6 - Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31500341AS 1.5TB
2 - POWERCOLOR LCS AX5870 1GBD5-WMDH Radeon HD 5870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express
8 gigs of memory.......

Will this Broadway Com Corp OKIA-BLACK-600 600W ATX 12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply power my rigg...

You know I don`t want to spend too much on a Power supply..you know as cheap as they are becoming..hell I think this Okia is 80+ platinum certified. I know that it is silent compared to my PC Power and Cooling T12W 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Active PFC Power Supply .

any thoughts...

Unless you get a good sale on a quality PSU, cheap PSUs are exactly that. And being 80Plus certified is fairly meaningless in itself; also there are no 80Plus Platinum consumer PSUs yet.

I think someone is trying to be funny? If you have a $500 PCP&C psu (you got raped, btw), why would you be looking at this Broadway budget psu?

The funny thing is, despite the fact that you are trying to mock this unit ( I think), it would likely power your system ok and would have saved you about $470.

Haven't heard of that unit here.
And it costs only 30USD on newegg, so it's probably crap that will toast your rig.

He was being sarcastic.

Broadway Com stuff is mostly crap....but the one in the OP is actually a low end non APFC CWT. They actually used some PSH and PUC stuff too.

BTW, I only use PC Power & Cooling PSU`s in all my riggs...well up until I bought my current HP rigg with the delta PSU in it!!

I bought my system for under $400.....
http://forums.anandtech.com/showthre...ghlight=m9500z -- my system back in May!!

I totally agree the people at PC Power & Cooling have losty their edge over the last 2 years or so....
