Will this motherboard recognise a Sempron 3200+ ?

So I just got a deal on eBay for a sempron 3200+ (for 25$) for my friend that wants to upgrade from his duron 1000mhz. His motherboard is a ECS K7S5A (SiS 735 chipset), it's Socket A.. so the CPU will fit but I just can't know if the CPU will work in there because ECS website doesn't have infos on this motherboard anymore..

if its a64 base then no. that board only does 133mhz bus athlon xp/mobile bartons. only thing one can do with one of those is to pull a socket pin mod to modify multiplier for overclocking athlons/mobile bartons.
it doesn't do anything over 133mhz bus reliably. i ran one with a xp2000 @2.4ghz a while back:) that being said its probably not worth sticking with. such boards are disposable. just get the newer frys bundle deal whatever it is these days
