I'm trying to put together a nforce4 ultra system together and think I already made a mistake in the ram I bought. I bought 2 of these. I'm pretty sure there the same as these as newegg.

After reading these messages for hours on this forum, I read that you can not use ram that has chips on both sides with a nforce4 chipset? Is this true?
How was I supposed to know they were double sided the heat shield is covering them.

I was hoping to run these 1:1 at 250 with an athlon 64 3200 to OC to 2.5ghz.

Get 2 x 512 of Corsair Value RAM from New Egg for $120. There's nothing wrong with the RAM you have, but I'm just going to say when you choose to take the blue pill and read Zebo's memory matrix thread on the CPU board, you're going to be very dissapointed with the single digit increase you'll get by going with that overkill memory. Use the money you save by going with a higher end board that will allow you to reach the FSB necessary for a good OC. BTW, clock speed > memory bandwidth IMHO.
