Will this make a nice upgrade to my system?

Going from a Duron 600 (chipped core, it did 1000 ) to a T-Bird 1.2ghz on an Abit KT7. And going from a Geforce 256 to a Geforce 2 GTS. Also from 256megs of ram to 512megs? I use win2k 98% of the time.

Personally, I would wait 1-2 months longer for the nforce and the desktop Palamino to come out. That's when I plan to do my upgrade.

Um nevermind... I didn't realize that you already owned that MB thus requiring you to only buy 256MB or RAM, a $100 processor, and a new vid card. It seems like a very cheap yet efective upgrade to me.

Definately can't hurt! IMHO Upgrades are completely indiviual.......meaning, if it makes you happy........that's all that really counts right!

I really don't want to spend more then 350$ at the most on this upgrade. Anything I should change or what not?


Or should I get a 19" monitor and stick with my current config?

If were you, I would get a 19' Monitor. Your current rig is not old and can handle any software now. The montior will be better in my opinion.
