Hi, i'm planning on building a build for gaming and video editing with these specs:

-Intel core i5 3570k
-Evga GTX 670 2gb 256bit
-Corsair cx 500 v2
-Corsair Vengence 2 X 4gb (8gb) 1600mhz Black
-Biostar TZ77XE3 ATX motherboard
-Western Digital 1TB Caviar blue 64 mb cache 7200rpm internal Hard drive
-Cooler master scout mid tower case

My computer monitor is an old LCD 20 inch 60hz 5ms response time VGA from Compaq: http://www.amazon.com/Compaq-Q2009-2...20+inch+compaq

My question is, would playing games like Battlefield 3, skyrim, Arma 2 at full setting and playing full 1080p blue ray video look good on this LCD VGA monitor? Or should i get a new monitor? If so would any of you recommend a good LED 1080p monitor for 90 bucks or less?o_O

If you are spending that much spend a little less on the GPU and get a monitor better than what you have. You will be much happier, that monitor isn't even 1080p.

General rule is pay for good peripherals as they last through multiple computers. They become outdated much more slowly. A GTX 670 is overkill for 900p.

You are much better off picking up a 7950 (this Sapphire one is $280 AR) and spending the money saved on a monitor. Since you asked for a $90 monitor, the $70 or more saved (depending on exactly which EVGA 670 you bought) can get you a nice $160 or so 1080p monitor such as this Asus.
