I need advice

I just got a hold of this hp g85xi but i could not find the power supply for it.

on the back it says 18volts 2Amp

i hooked up the power supply from my Hp laptop. that on is rated 19v 4Amp

It works perfect but im affraid that it will kill the printer in the long run.

Any ideas on this??

I don't think it will cause any problems. That is pretty close to specifications. Also, it might not actually be outputting it's maximum power. It might be working at what the printer requires.

The HP G85 is a great machine, I got one myself. As for using a p/s that is above the OEM voltage could not be the wisest thing to do in the long run.
