I can't find any athlon XPs anymore so i settled for Sempron 2800+ which according to some sites are the same CPU just renamed. I'm using MSI K7N2 Delta2 LSR board and Kingston PC3200 256MB CL3.0 (in dual channel, total 512MB)

The bios under "Adjust DRAM Freq(FSB:DRAM)" gives me many choices.

SPD, 2:1, 5:3, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, 6:5, 1:1, 5:6, 4:5, 3:4, 2:3, 3:5, 1:2 and AUTO.

CPU is 333MHz FSB ( I have set 166 as FSB in bios)
My bios when set to AUTO for the DRAM Freq it shows 333MHz and since the DDR can go up to 400MHz I set the DRAM Freq to SPD and it now shows 400MHz. But I see no performance improvement of any kind.

[1] Is my DDR restricted to 333MHz due to the CPU?
[2] What does the other options like the 2:1 and so on mean? Will choosing any of thoes options help
improve performance?

Thanks in advance

Run your RAM at the same speed as your FSB, a 1:1 ratio. This is how the NF2 chipset likes it. You wouldn't gain anything from running it higher anyway unless you overclocked the CPU.
