Hello,

I was just wondering if these parts will all work together and make a good gaming PC. (This may be the wrong format for this forum, i apologize)

Case: Rosewill armor ATX midtower: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147047

Video Card (which i already have): A Radeon HD 5750 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-448-_-Product

Ram: Ripjaws DDR3 1333 speed 16g (4 x 4gb) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231312

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition Thuban 3.3GHz, 3.7GHz Turbo Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103913

Motherboard: ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 AM3 AMD 890GX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131631

And then i am just going to use the 500gb harddrive, the 600 watt power supply, and the current DVD drive from my existing system (if that doesnt mess anything up of course)

So sorry about the crappy format, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Nick

First off, you want the general hardware sub-forum ;)

However i can help you here if you would like, what is your budget?

haha thanks, i am new to this site. And i have enough money to afford the build that i stated above. My real concern was just to ask if they are all compatible with each other and if you have any hints/tips on doing the actual building i would appreciate it.

Thanks for your reply!

They will work, however if this is for a gaming computer you are doing a few things wrong, if you give me a budget to work with i can give you a build that will perform better for gaming.

Alright, well i have the Hard drive, video card, DVD tray, and power supply already so i was looking to spend up to 600 dollars on a motherboard, CPU, case ( but i love the armor case), and RAM.

If you are gaming, then its best to spend about 1/3 your budget on the video card. You are proposing to do things a little in reverse.

$1000 gaming build = $300 GPU, $300 for CPU, mobo, $50 for ram, $150 for case and PSU, and $200 or so for monitor and so forth.

Your gaming ability is most directly effected by your GPU. That CPU, while decent for many things, is not going to be any different than a 3.7ghz x4 for games for instance.

Okay well this is what i suggest.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811147047
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231424
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813130582
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115072
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835103065

Total: $569.95

That will outperform the setup you had listed by a good margin. You DO NOT need 16GB of RAM. 4GB is enough and 8GB is "future proof".

I would suggest at some point you pick up a better GPU however, somewhere in the $200 range.

What he said.

GPU should be upgraded considerably from your selection. I also recommend a high quality PSU that you can keep from build to build
