Will this form of unlocking work

I saw this site refered to by someone on this forum. Has anyone tried this? I have an old XP1600+ sitting around, so I feel the tinkering itch coming on. I fear buring something other than the CPU. I would love to get some feed back from anyone how has tried this.

That's pretty crazy. Why not just by a nice nForce2 mobo for the 1600+ ??? Or, just do it the traditional way.

If you have the old Palomino-core XP processor, I believe that you still have to paint your L1 bridges closed to use the multiplier pin-mod. This makes it pretty much pointless unless your motherboard doesn't let you change the multiplier in the bios.

What is the traditional way?

My MB does not accept multiplier adjustments.

Do I really have to paint the L1 bridges on the Palomino, what about the T-bred b?

Anybody else tried it? what results did you get.
