Hi,

I was wondering If a 120mm fan can fit in the front of my antec sx1030b that is in the mail for intake. I would love to have one huge quiet fan to suck in enough air for all of my busy little 80mm fans to blow out.

If you know this or have the case please reply.

thanks

Have you tried measuring it to see if 120mm fits in it? You might have to do a little modding also to get it to stay on.

No there is no way that a 120 is going to fit into that holder for your fans, unless you mod it. Most likely you will have to take out the part that holds the fan and drill in holes for your fan to screw into the case, but I think that a 80 should be just fine for cooling because this case has good cooling.

you cant fit a 120mm under the drive cage (or in it for that matter)

im in the process of modding them to fit my 92mm fans, they look like they can fit with minimal modding

sorry guys.

the reason I asked is because the case was in the mail and wanted to know if I should order these fans too so I wont have to wait around with the case.

now that my case came it is quite apparent that nothing but a 80mm fan will fit without getting my hands a little dirty.

Oh well, Ill use it how it is until I cant take it any more and then I'll mod it.

thanks for all of the input guys,

-Sam

Try modding it on top for an exhaust fan or mod it into the removable door to blow in.

I got mine today. You will love this beast. The cages in the front take 2 80mm fans. The design of the front of the case is superb for air flow with just the 2 80s in the back. Should I need more air, which I doubt, a 120mm blow hole in the top would be the way to go. I can fit a low resistance foam room AC filter in the front for dust control. I will remove the cages in the front ( they just click in and out). This is by far the best built case I have ever seen.
